This is my first flat fabric piece. I used a mix of fabric the blue is from a dress my grandmother had for 65 years. I wish I could show her what I made with it but I think it might kill her if she saw her grandaughters twisted sexually humorous art. But I feel the most connected to her when I make these pieces. No one sat down and taught me how to sew it all just was inherited. I feel the women in my family flowing through my veins when I sew. Both corny and spooky, I know.
